Air Properties calculates the thermodynamic and transport properties of air as a function of temperature and pressure. The thermodynamic properties are the specific heat capacity at constant pressure and the specific heat capacity at constant volume, the specific enthalpy, the specific internal energy and the specific entropy. The transport properties include the dynamic viscosity, the thermal conductivity and the density. Air Properties remove the need for look-up tables and complex equations and is the perfect aid for students of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.

Air is considered as ideal gas and the thermodynamic properties are determined with the polynomials presented in “NASA Glenn Coefficients for Calculating Thermodynamic Properties of Individual Species” while the transport properties are determined with the Sutherland formula.
The thermodynamic properties can determined on a mass or a molar basis and all properties can be determined in either the SI unit system or the Imperial (US) unit system. Air Properties uses industry-standard methods and have been tested against state-of-the-art software.
